MUMBAI: Atul Saraf-promoted ABS Group has tied up with BSNL for its upcoming online video-on-demand (VoD) service called ABS Play (absplay.in). Scheduled to go live in four weeks’ time, ABS Play will offer Hollywood, Bollywood, Tollywood, regional, sports, devotional, comedy, horror, action, music, as well as short and full-length videos. The service will only be available for 10 million BSNL broadband subscribers. The company is eyeing tie-ups with other broadband players as well. “This will be a portal wherein 10 million BSNL subscribers will get value-added services. We will offer movies, songs, videos, regional and international content, as well as web TV. Other broadband players can avail the same facility,” ABS Group CMD Atul Saraf said. The company has entered into a revenue-share deal with BSNL. It has also procured content on revenue-share basis from content owners. There will be various packages for BSNL customers who will have to enter their telephone number to activate the service, Saraf said. Billing will happen through BSNL.
