According to a report published today, Motorola is looking for willing subjects that would allow them to soak test Android 5.1 on their AT&T branded first-generation Motorola Moto X. With the soak test, a limited number of AT&T’s Moto X users will have their phone updated as Motorola monitors them for any issues. To be invited to take place in a soak test, you need to be a member of the Motorola Feedback Network.
Last month, Android 5.1 was sent out OTA to some owners of the first-generation Motorola Moto X in the U.S., Canada and Brazil. Unfortunately, that did not include AT&T owners of the handset. However, that could be taken care of inside of a week, assuming that there are no problems with the soak test. Meanwhile, in other countries the Android 5.1 update was pushed out for the first-generation Moto X at the beginning of this month.
