Singapore’s Swissclear targets Indian pre-paid TV market

Singapore-headquartered Swissclear Global is negotiating with leading Indian TV broadcasters and content providers to offer services through its pre-paid card system. “We are looking at a massive 350 million digital service users in India by 2016, given the demand for ‘on demand services’ by the rapid growing mobile phone subscribers,” founder and CEO Sandy Agarwal said on Saturday. “Our focus is on the growing Indian market though market development continues across the globe,” said Agarwal, who comes with experience of handling interactive services at Nokia besides holding executive positions at Discovery Channel and ESPN.
