Sourav Ganguly replaces Jagmohan Dalmiya as CAB president

MUMBAI: Former India skipper Sourav
Ganguly will replace late Jagmohan
Dalmiya as the president of Cricket
Association of Bengal (CAB).
Ganguly has been unanimously chosen
to lead CAB as the president.
Ganguly is presently the joint
secretary at the CAB. He has the
blessings of West Bengal chief
minister Mamata Banerjee.
Dalmiya’s son Abhishek is also tipped
to join the CAB as an official.
“I am thankful for the responsibility
given to me, if the 117 members
agree, I will take over the
responsibility and I will try and do the
best,” Ganguly said after his
Ganguly said that Dalmiya has left a
big hole to fill. “I am also happy that
Abhishek is part of this, I will be with
him and his family throughout my
life,” he added.
With CAB leadership issue sorted, it
will be interesting to see who will
replace Dalmiya at the BCCI.
