C band 3.4-4.2ghz. Ku band 10.7-12.75ghz. Cband needs atleast 4ft dish for some proper signal. Ku band comes even on 30cms dish.

Symbol rate is symbols per second = (Data rate in bits per second × 204) / (188 × bits per symbol).

FEC = Forward Error Correction.

3/4 FEC means, for every 3 bits of data, you are sending out 4 bits, one of which is for error correction.

So FEC 7/8 needs more quality signals than FEC of 1/2.
