SC cancels 122 licences in 2G scam:
The Supreme Court has cancelled all 122 2G licences issued after 2008 by the telecom ministry.
The apex court decided to scrap the 122 radiowave licences granted during the tenure of A Raja as telecom minister.
The Supreme Court is also scheduled to pronounce its judgment on the petitions seeking a direction for a probe into the alleged role of Home Minister P Chidambaram in the 2G spectrum scam today

@Amatan you opened a thread asking so fast. The judegement was delivered only after 10.30AM and TV channels started to break the news around 10.35AM.

No they will definitely go for appeal.

If u read the judgement carefully , it gives 4 months time to companies to appeal and they can pay new fee fixed by TRAI and continue the service.

As per TOI all companies can go for reallocation,yes uninor is worst hit wid all 22 circles cancellation(i jst recharged my uninor).lets see in 2 months what guidelines TRAI comes up wid.
