Nimbus asked to deposit Rs 3.05 bn with court
Nimbus asked to deposit Rs 3.05 bn with court: Bombay HC

The Bombay High Court has asked Nimbus Communications to either deposit an amount of Rs 3.05 billion in the court or give a bank guarantee pending hearing of the dispute with BCCI.

The lawyer for Nimbus, meanwhile, argued that Neo was a separate entity which collected ad revenue and Nimbus only got the licence fees. But the BCCI objected, saying it was a subsidiary of Nimbus and the argument did not appear to wash with the High Court too.The court was hearing an application moved by the BCCI seeking direction to Nimbus to deposit the money payable to BCCI as deposit in the High Court. The BCCI claimed that over Rs 3 billion is due to be paid to them because of the telecast of the England and West Indies series by Neo Sports.
