Later this month, on July 27, OnePlus will finally announce
a successor to last year's OnePlus One
smartphone. The new handset will be called OnePlus 2
, and we already know that it will be more expensive
than the first OnePlus smartphone (which was released for prices starting at $299). However, the new smartphone will still not be as expensive as most flagships out there.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau today confirmed that the "OnePlus 2 will be priced under $450." It remains to be seen whether this means the handset will cost $449.99, or less.
It's said that the new OnePlus flagship will have a metal-made body (unlike the OnePlus One, which is a polycarbonate-made device) and a display measuring 5.5 inches, or maybe 5.7 inches. The new smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, featuring a fingerprint scanner, 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM, and possibly a dual rear camera
Not long ago, we revealed a couple of images that allegedly showed the OnePlus 2 (see below), but we can't be sure of their authenticity just yet. OnePlus is definitely a company to watch
, so we're looking forward to seeing what it can do with its upcoming smartphone. What about you?http://www.phonearena.com/news/OnePlus-2...50_id71230
