yes the issues is with rain fade and so on like that which we face in DTH .. but how about just possibility of using bigger size dish for KU band ?

HITS players have been allowed a foreign direct investment (FDI) of up to 74%, on par with the telecom sector. They can operate on either C band or Ku Band (till now reserved for direct-to-home)

Thats what i asked with ASM here for JAIN HITS (NSPTL) whether it is just limited to Cband.. he said as per their norms and policies they can carry even on KU band .

one more thing is the signal locking % for these 2 ku frequencies is the best.. it locks even at 1% and picture is also clear

The size of Dish we need in India is 45 cm approximately.This shows the signal quality performance.perhaps the D2H Demo Dish Too get good signals Big Grin

But they wont have permission to downlink in India.. as currently no DTH has got new license in India

The dish i am using to this satellite is old dish tv dish which was like oval shape.
