Dish TV added 1 new Transponder in their Network..
New in NIT: 10830,V,27500 QPSK 3/4

Presently they having 20 transponders including Dish Lanka .. also 4 Transponders from DD FD.

so they have plenty of space

They r in MPEG2 .. that eats more space .. any way they r comfortable now in space matter as off now..

mpeg4 gives better pq n aq than mpeg2. am i right sir ji ?

n when they will convert all channels into mpeg4 ?

No u r wrong... MPEG4 gives more space but doesnt make pq better... There r many channels in C Band/KU band in MPEG2 which have better PQ.. Even few HD Channels too in MPEG2 /DVBS. although now a days they r migrating to MPEG4 for  space ..

then y pq of sd channels is so bad in dish tv ? n all sd channels are on mpeg2 tech only.
the pq of hd channels is best ? n all hd channels are in mpeg4 tech

If MPEG4 Gives the best PQ then all DTH SD Channels to be same and Best but its not.... that depends on the STB,SW,Uplinking by DTH Ops.. BTW I am getting very good SD PQ in my Dish TV SD Box.. better than others.. i am using 3 DTH right now and used all barring D2H..
