CHANNEL LIST Satellite woes bog down Tata Sky’s Harit Nagpal
MUMBAI: Tata Sky Managing director Harit Nagpal is

Tata Sky MD Harit Nagpal is irate and the reason is not being able to expand his DTH service

extremely irate. The reason: he has not been able to expand his DTH service’s offerings for sometime now. And for no fault of his or his company’s, he says.

Eight years ago, his company had contracted to use the government owned Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) satellite Insat 4A, with a proviso thrown in that if he needed more capacity, the satellite organisation would make the transponders available to him within two years of his request.

In 2007, his organisation wrote in asking for more capacity. By then, Tata Sky was having about two million subscribers with dishes pointing in the sky towards where the Insat 4A satellite is located in orbit.

Tata Sky Managing director Harit Nagpal:Is somebody in government listening? Or in Isro?

Did you listen to your customers? You didn't. Then why expecting them to listen to their customers(like you)? What you sow so shall you reap. Your interview can make some TS fanatics to believe that Tatasky is trying to increase channels. But not for normal people with some IQ.

Quote:Since then, it has been a constant to and fro for his company. "We have been in touch with ISRO for a long time. We have written 100 emails to the ISRO chairman, met at least three to four times in the past six months. I know he wants to move things," says Nagpal. "But despite his wanting nothing is."

this sometimes happens even to normal subscribers too...

I think ISRO is hiding some facts from him and still he is having some hopes of Gsat.

comeon we r not dumb fools to believe this story and think tatasky is really facing problems and then they can try to increase costs giving these reasons

surely there will be few hardcore fans of Tatasky who will believe these

They used to add only quality channels and if they don't add a particular channel then it has to be assumed as crap. Suddenly any spurt of quality tv channels? Why he got irate?

yes True, they used to reply like that only that tatasky is trying to add channels which are best suited to subscribers and so on like that and used to fool some of its fans

and see what he says
Quote:“I am open to other options. If officials are worried, then let them throw Insat GSAT-10 open for tender,” highlights Nagpal. “There will be no takers for it

i think he is still living in old years.. DTH like Sun and D2h will be ready to go for this and i am sure D2H will love to have this as it will be easy for the to use it with Mono block just like Dishtv doing from nss and as5

so mr.nagpal.. dont put eggs in others nest and tell them to hatch and show

This is all gimmick from Tatasky. They don't have any interesting channels in their dth but they know how to keep the customers interested. Life is full of hopes which 100% applicable to Tatasky customers.
