If they add additional TPs then they would have added those TPs in NIT. they already added the Satellite settings informations in New SW of STB. that's why i doubt about shifting channels to V Pol. they might get more space in V TP using new technology that known to them only. even in STB System details there is option of Migration :No [now] . once they activate it for "YES" then migration will done in STB.

That Migration option in system settings is i guess for Asiasat, once a customer gets migrated to Asiasat it will show as ''Yes''

Even if u select GSAT10 tp's on the STB (incase ur STB software is updated) u will get signal bcoz the parameters which has been preset match that to Insat 4A V TP's. Even if u alter the polarity of GSAT10 TP's in the STB to H u will still get the signals despite GSAT10 having no H TP's. The name of satellite on STB makes no difference, if the parameters in settings of the STB match with the parameters of the satellite in which direction the dish is aligned to then it will get signals.

Infact even if u select Asiasat 7/8 TP's on the STB u will get the signals right now, so do u mean that at 83 degree east u are getting signals from 105 degree east? The answer is no, so do not get confused by the name showing on the STB. Currently all V and H signals r from Insat 4A. Tata Sky has just given diff sat names on the STB but parameters r of Insat 4A

I have already know this facts and even wrote in forum few times. this is not new to me.
I am not talking about those signals. Talking about TP activations. u missread the meaning of my post.

So how many V TP will be added ??
Reply
Bro they are using frequency reuse technology to activate V TP's on Insat 4A. If they do this then they will use Insat 4A and continue migration to Asiasat.
Or if all our assumptions r wrong then may be they will activate GSAT10 V TP's and are testing V TP's on Insat 4A to see how many dished need alignment and LNB need skew adjustement.

Final things will be clear in next few days/hours.

But even if they use GSAT10 (ISRO would have provided as according to rule if Insat 4A is dying they need to give a back up sat) or they use Insat 4A, in both cases new TP's will be added and migration to Asiasat will continue
