Gsat is reliable but Tatasky going out is better for us as they are paying very low price per transponder etc.,.

as per my information from sources, they are given sat meters with softwares and they will come and connect it to boxes and upgrade it .Maybe he said it wrong as they can update boxes directly via satellite itself to boxes and these meters are just for tracking the new sat.

It must includes those frequencies etc.. Also he said that sat has not started yet, and maybe by march end it will start.

they will do a software upgrade in all boxes and add one or two tp from as7/8 as it will be home tp for tatasky on as7/8

so techinical just tune to as7/8 when they connect the boxes to new direction and set the tp to new added tp in the box for as7/8 then new software will download giving the box all the tp info for getting all the channel

yes, but cant this upgrade be done via OTA directly ? why should he come and download it in box and then move dish?
Maybe they want to know exact count also, otherwise some fellas who know satellite tracking will move themselves Big Grin

migration will be done to those customer who call and register for migration , for them they may charge some amt and change to new sat

But , if both satellites going to have same channels why will customer call and request them for migration? and how will customer know about it at first instance?

90% will be ota directly may be some old mpeg2 box may not catch this sat all tp will be of mpeg4 s2 type as old box are mpeg2 dvb s so for that box manually may be done by technicians so for this they will give special training

after adding all the existing channel to they new sat as7/8

new channel will be only added on this sat and they may say the to get newly added channels u have to do migration and they will ask for some charge as i got info they may charge about 75 rs but it not fully confirm , but sure they will ask some amt for migration
