But this time CC have surely not aware of these technical changes... He might be correct...

i come to know him few weeks back only n i cannot trust his words.
pareshaan dimaag ki upaj h iski baatein.

in adtv - cc runs in 4:3 ratio only with black bars on top and bottom
Ur so " dignified " language shows it very well ki kiska dimaag ka starr kya hai. At least i am not like u or others like u who just crib and cry all the time. Redirect ur energies to contribute rather than to bash. I have given much more credible info over the years so i don't need ur stamp of approval.

Also ur zero knowledge base is clear by the fact that u still think Comedy Central runs in 4:3 aspect ratio

I Think 4:3 is in Letter box format which is having Black bars in left and right .. 16:9 is having black bars at the Top and Bottom.. also may be in full screen too .. exactly i dont know ..
Prateek check ur Picture setting in ADTV STB .. it may be set as Stretch for 4:3 SD Channel input..

in my adtv stb system setup i.e. aspect ratio is not working.
all channels i.e. all hd n sd chnanels i m getting in full screen only.
full screen means full screen except a few channels which r having black bars at the top and bottom.

i do not have any channel which is having black bars on left or right or both

I think ur TV is not supporting the changes made in ur STB.. if u connect a HD STB to SD TV then u will not able to change the resolution .. this what i have seen in SD TV and SD TV tuner cards.. May be some exclutions ..

i have three tvs.
adtv hd 2 connections.
1 is full hd tv.
2 is hd ready tv.
both tvs is having worst pq of hd chnanels only. sd channels r  having no problems in both the tvs.
in both the tvs i m not able to change the aspect ratio of any channel.

If u connect by HDMI and ur TV is FULL HD then u Must get the change sin STB .. if u r connecting by Composite then u might not get the desired changes to be made in STB as Composite is supporting HD Resolution in STB as i know...
