Airtel Digital TV to Drop PTC Gold and PTC Chakde Channels from June 16

Airtel Digital TV, one of the leading DTH service providers in India, has announced that it will stop airing PTC Gold and PTC Chakde channels from June 16, 2023. These two channels are popular among Punjabi viewers for their music and movie content.

According to a scroll running on these channels, Airtel Digital TV has decided to discontinue these channels due to some contractual issues with the broadcaster. The scroll also advises the subscribers to contact the customer care for any queries or complaints.

PTC Gold and PTC Chakde are part of the Punjabi Regional pack on Airtel Digital TV, which costs Rs. 42 per month. The pack also includes other Punjabi channels like PTC Punjabi, MH One, Zee Punjabi, and DD Punjabi. Subscribers can also add these channels to their existing pack by using the a-la-carte option.

However, from June 16 onwards, these two channels will no longer be available on Airtel Digital TV. This may disappoint many Punjabi entertainment lovers who enjoy watching the latest songs, blockbuster movies, award shows, and cultural programs on these channels.

It is not clear whether Airtel Digital TV will replace these channels with any other Punjabi channels or offer any compensation to the subscribers. The company has not issued any official statement on this matter yet. We will update you as soon as we get more information on this. Stay tuned!
