Antrix disconnects signals for independent TV DTH

Similar disconnection happened earlier too. This has become routine to loose Independent TV signals and it will come back after some days.
According to media reports earlier the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) had given direct to home (DTH) operator Independent TV one last chance to clear the dues of Antrix Corporation or face disconnection of transponder service. The tribunal had directed Independent TV to either to pay Rs 9 crore to Antrix by June 12 or furnish a further bank guarantee of Rs 15 crore by that date. If the operator fails to make the payment, Antrix can bring in effect the impugned disconnection notice.
“In case the petitioner tries to overreach this order by filing any further M.A. or moving any other authority, the respondent would be free to give effect to the disconnection notice at once on coming to know of such move”.
