Dish TV, one of the leading DTH service providers in India, has announced that it has changed the channel numbers of two regional news channels, News18 Tamilnadu and News18 Assam North East. The change is effective from today.
News18 Tamilnadu, a Tamil language news channel that covers the latest news and updates from the state of Tamil Nadu, has been shifted from its old channel number 2977 to a new channel number 2968. News18 Assam North East, a bilingual news channel that broadcasts news and current affairs from the states of Assam and North East India, has been moved from its old channel number 1999 to a new channel number 1992.
The reason for the channel number change is not clear, but it could be due to the availability of new channels or the optimization of the channel lineup by Dish TV. Dish TV has over 23 million subscribers in India and offers more than 500 channels across various genres and languages.
If you are a subscriber of Dish TV and want to watch these channels, you will have to tune in to their new channel numbers. You can also add or remove channels from your Dish TV package by using your registered phone number, the MyDish app or the Dish TV website.
