The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has directed multi system operator (MSO) GTPL Hathway to pay Rs 2 crore to IndiaCast Media within ten days. Once the payment is made by the MSO, the two parties have been directed to enter into a reference interconnect offer (RIO) based agreement effective from 21 November.
The tribunal also noted that pendency of certain issues should not come in the way of GTPL making payments on regular basis in accordance with the RIO based agreement The tribunal further stated that any issue arising on account of final audit report may be raised by the parties separately. The final audit report should be brought on record by IndiaCast as soon as it is available. The matter has been posted under the same head on 27 November.
