Airtel Arris Xstream Set-Top Box to Run Android 12, Launch Soon

Airtel is planning to launch a new model of Xstream set-top box soon. The box will be manufactured by Arris and run the Android 12 operating system out of the box.

The Airtel Xstream is a hybrid set-top box that combines DTH service and Android TV. It allows users to watch live TV channels through satellite and stream OTT content via Wi-Fi or ethernet. Users can also access thousands of apps from the Google Play Store and use voice commands with Google Assistant.

The new Xstream box is expected to have the following specifications:

  • Android 12 operating system
  • Quad-core processor with a base frequency of 2.0 GHz
  • 2GB of RAM
  • 8GB of onboard storage
  • Preinstalled apps, such as Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Video, Sony Liv, Zee5, and more

The Airtel Arris Xstream set-top box is expected to launch in the country soon. However, there is no official confirmation from Airtel about the pricing and availability of the device.
